This event occurs from January 18-25 every year. It is an opportunity for church communities to come together to pray for Christian unity and honor our diversity. For the last number of years, our community has participated in an annual Ecumenical Evening Prayer Service. This year’s service will be on Sunday, January 19 at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church on the Auraria Campus (1060 St. Francis Way). This year’s theme, “Is Christ Divided?” (1 Corinthians 1:13), is a particularly apropos question that St. Paul posed to the Church in Corinth, a question that is still relevant today. All are welcome to attend this service, which will feature a reflection by The Revered Felicia George of Epworth United Methodist Church, with responses from voices representing various denominations. A reception will follow the prayer service. Please come and bring a friend from another church!
